About me

My name is Hagit. I am the mother of two and live in Clil, an ecological community, in the Western Galil.
I was born and raised on Kibbutz Urim in the northern Negev.
I spent much of my time in the company of horses, which was followed by studying to be a therapeutic horseback riding instructor. I worked as such, as well as teaching general horseback riding. Today I have an old white donkey, just for the spirit.
Animals were always a big love of mine, which is of course why it has never been easy for me to eat them…so my journey with vegetarianism began when I was about 14. Then suitable meat substitutes were not available in Israel (except for industrial not tasty soy schnitzel). Ialways had a problem maintaining a normal hemoglobin level. The frustration caused me to start study about food and its nutritional values, as well as how to make it "tasty".
Fortunately, my grandmother was an excellent cook, and I inherited many of her recipes, her kitchen tools, and some of her genes.
I learned from my mother to bake cakes and cookies, based on the American tradition. However, since I grew up on kibbutz, where we ate together in a communal dining room, I didn't really learn to cook. I began to cook on my trips throughout the world and since then, I have never stopped.
Thirteen years ago, I became a mother to my son, Oryn, and then it became even more important to me what I put into my mouth. I lived in Amirim, a community of vegetarians, where there is a high level of awareness about nutrition. I began to delve into the subject of nutrition, while conducting endless experiments in the kitchen.
After three more years, my daughter Omi was born. At that time, I lived in the Ashram in the desert - Shitim. There I cooked meals for big groups of people who came to participate in the Workshops and Festivals. That is when I discovered that I loved big pots…
I always shared my recipes, and I enjoyed teaching anyone, who was interested in learning. This is how my Cooking Workshops began.
In addition to all of the above, for thirteen years, I have been a therapist for women. My treatment combines different methods of massage, involving levels of energy and awareness. I have trained and practiced in these various methods.
A few years ago, another area that I discovered and fell in love with is Raw Food. I discovered the wonderful attributes of cocoa and "guilt free chocolate". I wanted to teach all the parents of the world about HEALTHY CHOCOLATE! Not only is it permitted but it is beneficial. This is how my Chocolate Workshops for families developed.
Today - cooking healthy food is my way of life. My Cooking Workshops are based on pure veganism and I treat woman at all stages of their lives.
In my vegetarian kitchen, I create together with my work partner, Inbar, a wealth of home-cooked delicacies, based on pure veganism and vegetarianism, which can either
Be delivered to your home or be catered for an occasion.
In addition, I organize a variety of vegetarian Cooking Workshops for individuals, couples and groups. I only cook what I love and what I would gladly serve on my own table. I never compromise quality!
